Why, hello everyone! First post so I better make it good right? Ah, here we go, I've thought of something.
When I was little, maybe 7 or 8, I wanted to be an exotic dancer. Now, of course, I didn't know what an exotic dancer was. (I was, and currently am, a dancer. A Polish dancer. But I'll talk about that at a later time.) I had always associated the term 'exotic' to mean 'strikingly, excitingly, or mysteriously different or unusual' mostly because that's what is defined as in the dictionary. I was the kind of girl who wanted to do things I'd never done before. I was/am creative and unique. I was even in a program at school for gifted and talented, of which I was both thank you very much.
I have since learned that an exotic dancer is not something that I aspire to be. Although, I have dreamed and thought about what it would be like. I mean, the pay is good right? And I'm not exactly ugly, and I won't say I'm pretty because I can't really judge myself. I look just fine for myself. Also, I won't lie and say I don't occasionally dance naked by myself in my room to sexy music. But doesn't everyone do that? No? Well then, I guess you'll have to try it sometime. However, the downside would be being treated as an object and not a person, being harassed, etc. But, I would just have to read Belle de Jour's blog to really know it's not the worst thing in the world.
